With ample funds at hand, you can port around freely, purchase catchup gear for quick entry into new content without long grinds, or store up consumables for high-level raids.
For consistent Gil in Final Fantasy XIV, selling items and equipment on the Market Board is often your best bet for making money. But be prepared that other players may undercut your prices at every turn if you take this route!
Completing Guildhests and other duties through the Duty Finder can also yield substantial gil rewards. Some tasks have clear completion criteria while others (such as Field Operations) include a timer specific to every player who enters an instance.
Players can earn Gil by killing enemies in battle, although this method yields less Gil as their levels increase. Gil can then be used to buy favor with enemies, improve compatibility with Yojimbo or purchase items and equipment from Treno Auction House.
